cant uninstall its still there,help

Ive installed a game then i uninstalled it,and then i
cant install it aigan.when i try to install it it only
uninstalls it,but theres still 1 mb left in the
controllpanel ad or remove programs. I cant remove it
thats the problem,do i have to reinstall xp ?.
And yes ive tryed that going back befour the problem
happend but that dident work.What can i do ?

Try this. Boot the computer into safe mode. To get to
safe mode, reboot the computer and while it's still at the
initial bios screen, hit F8 several times. You'll get a
menu for boot options, select the one for safe mode.
After it boots into safe mode, open up my computer find
the directory for the game, delete the entire directory.
You should be able to do this in safe mode. AFter that,
open up a command window. At the run option on the start
menu type regedt. It will open up the registry editior
(be careful working with this) Use the type menu options
to do a search/find for whatever the name of the game is.
(Example Diablo) Whenever it finds a entry with the name
of the game in it, just delete it by pressing the delete
key. Delete all entries related to the game. Close the
editor, reboot into normal mode and then try installing
again. I've done this to fix games I've had problems with
and it's worked for me. Good luck.
