Can't start a CD

hi ,i wanted to start a cd but when i opened my computer as usual ,to press
the icon that starts cd's and dvd's i didn't find this icon ,i tryed for long
time ,but still i can't find it .also i tryed trouble shooting with no use
because i didn't find the situation i'm having among the troubles list . how
to start my cd ? thank you
