cant sign in

I cannot sign in. I have re-installed, repaired, played
around for hours and no luck. Can anyone offer me
advice. My hotmail is active.
When I launch MSN Messenger it starts to log in, and then
just stops. No error message, just no log in.
My internet connections are fine, and browsing is not a
problem, I fear it could be XP related ?

Neither of you provided any info about your type of connection -- modem?
Cable? DSL? LAN? Or, whether you have hardware of software firewalls.
