Can't set up Windows mail

I am an old Windows user of many years.
Just bought a new PC with vista as standard. Not impressed. Deffinite step
backwards!
However as I will be having more new PCs to install I must solve this email
set up problem.
I have totally failed to set up a single account on Windows Mail on VISTA (
Ver 6.0.6000.16386 ( vista_rtm.60901.2205 )).
For the past n years I have used the cpanel "Configure Mail Client" route to
set up end user email users.
Fails with registry error messages.
I have also tried to set up manually but get the same bad results.
Am I alone?
Is there somewhere I can see as Windows Mail tottaly silent on
Email/registry set up failures.
How do I attach copies of theses error messages to this post as they are far
to numerous ( and boring ) to type out.

Select the error messages>right click>copy, then right click>paste into the
reply message body.

Tell us the part of the email address beyond the @ ONLY!!
Tell us who is your ISP.
