Can't set up internet conection inmultimedia 2005

I have a brand new dell loaded withMedia Center edition 2005, I have been
trying to set up the internet connection( I have dial up MSN 9). WHen I get
to the test
section of the wizard, It dials it but that's all. Media Center doesn't
recognize it and let me continue. A box says a critical media center process
has unexpectedly failed. Contact tech support. Code 3................Someone
help - please
 
Tried - Dell Support they were no help
