Can't send or receive in Outlook 2007

I am not able to send or receive emails in Outlook 2007. I was able to do
both with no problems, then it stopped sending emails but I could still
receive. Now I can't do either. I'm working with Windows Vista and
Bellsouth is my ISP. I haven't changed any of the settings, it just stopped.

I am working online. I can send and receive directly from my ISP but not
from Outlook.

the only other thing that is coming to mind is if the settings are correct
under the account properties in Outlook. Do you get any error messages when
trying to send the messages? have you tried the send test message under the
account settings?

Things don't happen suddenly. Something has changed.

First, I would check with your ISP to see if they have changed their server
settings. Many ISPs are now using alternate ports for SMTP and POP3
settings. Check with their on-line help - most ISPs have a page to
configure the major mail clients.

Second, did you install/uninstall/remove anything from Outlook just
recently? What is the exact error message you get when you use the Test
Account Settings option from your Mail Account Properties?

I do not get any error message when trying to send the messages. They just
sit in the outbox forever. I did click the send/receive all under
send/receive and started receiving my email in Outlook but each time I log
into Outlook I have to do to receive. Before, the emails just automatically
started loading from my ISP when I logged into Outlook. Is there something I
did to make this stop?

I still not able to send emails.

Thank you for your response. I will check with my ISP for any changes. I
think I must have done something in Outlook, unknowingly. I can now go to
send/receive and click send/receive all and my emails will load but I have to
do this each time I log in. Before, the emails would automatically load from
my ISP with no prompting.

I'm still not able to send emails. After I click send/receive all the
status says "Processing" but it never sends it. I left Outlook up for hours
and it still says processing. I can send a test email successfully but again
I have to click the send/receive all again for it to load into Outlook.

To configure for automatic send/receive on connection got to
Tools_Options_Mail Setup and make sure the box is checked to "send
immediately when connected" Then click the Send/Receive button and configure
the rest.
