can't send or compose email - ie6 keeps crashing

Hi,
I'm running internet explorer v 6.0.2800 etc. on windows
xp professional, and it crashes everytime I try to send
or compose an email. The email/IE works fine on my mac.
But on my PC, IE keeps crashing with error messages on
the C drive that look like: Temp\WERD.tmp.dir00
\appcompat.txt.
Any ideas, anyone?

Hi,
This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." If that helps, then work through the solutions
(CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:
The Parasite Fight http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
Bugs, Glitches & Stuffups: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.

Hope this helps,
Don
