can't send mail via pop3 - yahoo

I'm using Outlook 2000 and I can receive mail, but can't send. I'm using
dial-up.

incoming: pop.mail.yahoo.com
outgoing: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Disable the e-mail scanning feature in your anti-virus program (and
also try disabling any anti-spam programs you have running that
intercept or incorporate with your e-mail client).

Configure the e-mail account in Outlook to authenticate to their SMTP
server.

Don't describe or paraphrase the error message. Copy it and include
in your post (except you might want to munge or star-out your
username, if shown).
