getting frustrated

I keep getting this error when I try to send emails....

Subject 'Re: Your new M&T Account forms', Account: 'Amy's Mail', Server:
'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 SIZE 20971520',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

I have tried numerous things. Checked and unchecked and restarted. I can't
seem to get them sent. I can receive okay.

Please help.

You should not be using the SSL option since Verizon does not support it.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced.
Uncheck the SSL option (two places).

Thanks for the help. However this is the new error message I received when I
did that.....

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'Re:
Your new M&T Account forms', Account: 'Amy's Mail', Server:
'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1
Authentication Required', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error
Number: 0x800CCC78

It seems like everytime I fix one problem a new one comes up. If you can
fix this for me I'm forever in your debt. Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have send authentication enabled.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers.
The box for "My server requires authentication must be checked.
