Jorindovsky said:Gary I tried that but it won't accept it. Somehow or other it got my son's
email address instead of mine. When I tried to "add" another email account,
but it refuses it.
Gary VanderMolen said:You're confusing me because initially you said you were using
Windows Mail. Also, the error message you supplied looks like it came
from Windows Mail rather than Windows Live Mail.
If you do have Windows Live Mail, click the "Add an e-mail account" button
in the lower left corner. Once you give it your Hotmail email address, it won't
even ask you about things like server names. The setup will be fairly automatic.

If your only email provider is Hotmail, then you can't use Windows Mail.
However, you can use Windows Live Mail. Give it a try:

:
To use Windows Mail, you must first have an email account somewhere. Like
with your Internet provider, or with Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
What is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?
Dave I am using Hotmail
Thanks for your previous answer, it was very helpful!

:
"SMTP" is not a valid mail server name. You must obtain the correct
server name from your mail provider. Who is your mail provider?

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered
the
server name correctly.
Subject 'Emailing: ATT411[1]', Account: 'POP3', Server: 'SMTP',

How do I fix this?
