Can't send email

When I travel and am on a differant ISP, I cannot send, reply or forward
email. What can I do to fix this?
 
I tried changing the settings and it didn't work at the airport. I'll try at
the hotel tonight.

I forgot to mention I'm running Outlook 2007 on a Vista 64 bit laptop, if
that makes any differance.
 
Doesn't make a difference. It could simply be that your ISP doesn't allow
remote access. In those cases you'll have to use the SMTP server local to
the network you are currently on (if offered). Otherwise you can only resort
to web based email.
