Is any one else experiencing trouble sending an e-mail
with an attached j-peg? The size is 2.35mb. Not very big.
Tried comcast support and they were no help. I cleared
then temp files, history, cookies; reset the modem;
Settings to default; and diabled norton. Any other
suggestions?

Boydfamily,
Go to TOOLS/OPTIONS and on the SEND tab, click the HTML
settings button about half way down the page... The next little window
that opens should say "Quoted Printable" and right below that, you see
where it says "Send Pictures With Message"... Make sure there is a check
in that and then hit OK, on the remaining window hit APPLY and OK.
That should fix it... By the way.... 2.35 MB's is NOT a small file...
I am thinking you meant KB's... If you did in fact mean MB's, be
careful that you don't more than 2 at a time... Most ISP's have a limit
of either 5 or 10 MB's total usage..
Hope this helps..

I beg to differ but a 2.35 MB JPG is very big.

Adding an attachment to a message increases the total size of an email by
roughly 40%; hence a 2.35 MB JPG attached to even a 1 KB message = 3.3 MB
email! Many ISPs limit the size of any incoming or outgoing message to 1
MB. A 3.3 MB message could put the recipient's account over its limit, too.
If your email doesn't bounce, it's certain that any later ones will.

Either resize the JPG using your Photo Editor or copy it to a CD and
snail-mail it.

I'm experiencing the same trouble. I'm running xp and mcafee. I've contacted my isp and they were no help either. My attachment sizes are small and i get a pop up saying" my smtp server hasn't responded in 60 seconds. An unknown error has occured. Time out while waiting for command" Then it gives me error numbers. I'll be watching this post for answers. :
