Hi there,
I have change my Internet supply from pay as you go modem to wireless local
Internet. I can receive mails, but it is impossible to send any.
Following message arrivves then :

"The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Work application',
Account: 'poczta.interia.pl', Server: 'poczta.interia.pl', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E".

Do you have any idea how to omit this problem ?
Cheers

Check your account set up against the settings provided below, they describe
OE settings but WM is exactly the same.
If all looks correct? Then remove and rebuild the account after closing and
reopening WM.
The account may have been corrupted by third party mail scanning, such as
your AV Application.

First go to tools>accounts>select your account>properties>connection tab,
remove the checkmark from 'always connect using', now WM will use any
available connection.
Also in Internet Explorer tools>options>connection, select 'never dial a
connection'

I am having a similar problem, unable to send with message getting stuck in
outbox. error message is below:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Post removal Salado
Rotary February 10, 2009 Newlsetter', Account: 'mail.saladotx.gov', Server:
'mail.saladotx.gov', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

what do I do?

See my response to your other post. That error message means the port is
probably blocked.

So you may simply have the port settings incorrect for where you are, but
only your IT group can tell you what the right ones are.

Yep. If you're connecting from a different network, you can no longer use
Port 25 for SMTP, because the network you connect to now, blocks it.

You have to find the correct port setting from your mail provider and change
it appropriately. If they just don't have this available, get a gmail
account and use that for the sending server. Then you can send from pretty
much anywhere in the world where there's a connection.
