I have windows Vista and my mail worked fine for a while. I now get this
message when I try to send or receive:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F

Any ideas? I checked with Comcast and they say everything id good on theor
end. I downloaded AVG antivirus, no threats shown.

Disabled the AVG integration (scanning of emails) yet and see if that corrects your issue

Which AV did you have before you downloaded AVG?
AVG must be installed with the custom option where you
can deselect the mail scanning module.
After you uninstall/reinstall AVG, if you still have a mail
problem, delete that mail account, restart WM, then recreate
the mail account.
