Can't select users at start up

My friend changed the resolution on her computer and then shut it down. Now
she can't get into the computer anymore because the icons are off the screen.
All she can see on startup is "Turn Off The Computer". We tried going into
the safe mode and resetting the resolution, but that did not help. Not sure
what else to try.

Hi,

Try "Safe mode with command prompt", then run rstrui.exe from the command
prompt (it's in the C:\Windows\System\Restore folder) to start the System
Restore GUI. Revert to a day prior to this error.
