4. Win XP Professional SP2 as a client (my own PC)

Situation:
i need to map a folder from client (2) in client (3). when i map it prompt
me a message that i do not have permission to access that particular folder.
so i'm go to client (3) to set the permission & security to clent (2). but
when i key in the domain name and click check name the client (2) domain
can't get client (2) domain name. so i go to Domain Server and check whether
this domain name is in but the result is the domain name of client (2) is
there! then when i go to client (4) to share a folder to client (2) there is
not problem! i can access and map the folder from client (2) to client (4).
so now i donno what is the problem already.

thanks advance for anyone who solve my problem

it could be name resolution issue. what do you receive is using net view \\client2name? if it is system 53, this is name resolution issue. You may wan to setup WINS server or enable netbios over tcp/ip.

Network troubleshooting You may receive "System error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found" ... In a peer-to-peer network without WINS, Win9x will be unable to browse, ...

Johnny,

Domain based name resolution for Windows XP computers does not happen
automatically. Both the Windows XP clients, and the domain controller, have to
be setup carefully.

If the problem doesn't involve name resolution, we may need to look at the
browser setup. You may want to provide "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", and
"net config" from each computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this
article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download
browstat!):
