Please help me.
I can not save my movie. I get the message about source files, etc. I've
done my detective work and they're all in their location. I have the qasf.dll
9.0 version. I don't know what to do. I need a quick fix if possible. It's an
x-mas movie that I desperately need completed like yesterday. Thanks

Hello Diva,
I know you wanted a quick fix to your own problem. I know you must tell us what the error message says about source files and can
you explain what is your etc meant? Better these way:
1. Are you still interested to complete your Xmas movie?
2. Explain "I cannot save my movie"? Do you see BIG Red X for the missing files?
3. Is this your first time to make a successful movie?
4. Tell us the many steps you have taken to create that movie.
5. Did you put ALL pictures, audio and movie file into a folder or how you get them?
6. Can you view your movie with MM2, etc.
7. Can you tell us what those saved files extension in your folder are?
8. What is your very aim to complete your movie? Or how you plan to distribute it? In CD, DVD, VHS or Mini DV etc?
9. Any others info will be useful to diagnose your problem.

Best Wishes,
Rino

Hello Rino,
I was able to show my movie by connecting the computer to the TV but it
would not save to the cd. I would still like to create cd for my family. I
did not see any big red X-when I go to save it just says save unsuccessful
cannot locate source files. This is my first time creating a movie. I used
pictures from my digital camera and some were scanned. The pics were .jpg abd
..tif. They were saved to files and imported into mm2. I am able to view the
"project" with mm2 it was later turned into a video when I tried to email it
to myself but when I went to save it and plat it on the dvd it only played
the music...it would not play on any dvd. Thanks for any assistance.

Hello Diva,
Tell me how (what CD Standard you chose) and what software you used to write Video CD (VCD) or White Book CD Standards in the
Industry. As of now you're writing Audio CD or Red Book. Tell me also your DVD Player Brand & Model and I'll tell you their
capability to play. After you Import your movie to MM2 what file extension it took and can you still find it now? If you can find
it Import it again and try to save it this time.

After this first project done --- I know you would like to have a much sharper video quality by first choose to saved with DV-AVI
file format and when ready to burn --- choose Super VCD (SVCD) because this is the highest video quality equal to DVD but only
half hour of recorded video per CD. You can choose to burn SVCD now or make it later after you solve your original problem.

Wishing others will also come to help you --- you know, several heads will surely better and the more suggestion the better to
solve the problem. Hope you could reply as soon as possible so you'll not be deleted very soon.

All The Best,

During the writing of a CD I encountered a file to large error message, and
I had to trim clips from my story board.

Hello Roe,
You did the right thing. And if you upgrade to 4.7 GB DVD burning --- you will have about 6.7 times of CD capacity. My advice;
Choose a dual layer DVD burner liked this one:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...&CatId=482&SRCCODE=WEBRB86&CMP=EMC-TIGEREMAIL
then you could still double the regular DVD capacity.

This could be your wish list ;o)

And if he does what you suggest he will be no further forward. Movie Maker
can NOT burn a DVD he would have to spend yet MORE MONEY on suitable
software !!! Sigh
