Mary,
Lowering the TIF cache to 50 (or even lower) should fix the problem.

I have done everything that all of you have said to do. I have gone to
:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810978/EN-US/
I have Open IE, Tools/Internet Options/ delete temp files.
and have deleted all temp files.
I have Corel Photo Paint, Jasc Paint Shop Pro and all the Adobe's. So I have
all the programs need to display jpg format and .gif's files as well.
I have also change the amount of space to 250, it is recommended 50 to 250.
Because I save a lot of animated gif's I set it to 250. So, I know I have
plenty of space for temps now and from becoming overloaded.
Yet, still after doing all of the above, I still can not save anything but
in a bmp format. I have even typed in the file name and added the correct
file type, such as jpg or gif etc. I still get only bmps. After I have saved
an animated gif, I go to check it out and it is no longer animated in my
folder where I save all my gifs.
I have been working on this for 3 days and have searched every area I know
to find a answer and I can't find one. Even on
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810978/EN-US/....... All the Fixs they
suggested for me to do, did not work. I did them all.
I am on AOL and want to use ony the stand alone Windows Internet Explorer,
but until I can fix this problem I am stuck with useing AOL program in
order
to save my gif's and jpg's files.
If anyone has found an answer to this problem, please let me know.
I do agree at this point we need or I need a MVP to step in and help.
Thanks for letting me bend you ears and hope someone can help me.
