can't "save as"

Problem: I am logged into my web server through FrontPage. I open an htm
file to edit and then try to do a "save as". When I click save as, the
folder in the box is closed and will not open, even though there are
hundreds of subfolders. So I cannot drill down to save my page.
I hope this makes sense to someone.

your missing the point. I can save, but I cannot see different folders on my

I believe this can be addressed by following the general repairs noted here:

1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE

I think if you do steps 1-3 then try again, your problem should be resolved.
If not, try a reboot. If it's still not fixed, then proceed to 4 and 5.
