Cant run a program on server

I set up a new computer with XP to run a program on our server. It can
find the program, it installs the active X files to run it. When I try
to run the application file, I get an "open file - security warning". I
choose to run the program anyway and it locks up on the first screen.
This happened once before under the same circumstances and I stumbled
onto a check box that resolved the problem. I just don't remember where
it was. HELP!!

Wouldn't it be more practical to contact the mystery program's tech
support for help with their software?
