Everything was working fine but recently have had trouble
doing a "right click save as" on JPG files, usually it
just captures the JPG and saves it, now my system seems
to be wanting to save everything as untitled BMP, any
settings I can change to stop this and revert back to
just saving JPG's??????????? I do this alot so it is
getting annoying

This bug has been around since Win98 I think and Microsoft doesn't seems
to have any plans of fixing it. Another irritating bug is when you have
the login/pass in the URL ( http://login:[email protected]/pic.jpg )
same thing happens, and there's no workaround. Just use Opera (
http://www.opera.com/ ) instead. It's faster, it never hangs with 100%
CPU usage for no apparent reason and can save any pic I have ever thrown
at it )

This happens if the indexes of the Temporary Internet Files get
overloaded. In Control Panel - Internet Options, in the temporary
internet files section on the General page, click 'Delete files'. Then
I suggest click Settings and reduce the space allowed - 50 MB is
probably generous, and on big drives it tends to choose by default a
setting that is so high that this overload happens
