Can't right click desktop

Nothing happens when I rightclick my Desktop. My kids must have re-set
something, but I don't know what.

Can you right-click anywhere else? It's entirely possible for parts of
the mouse to fail; can you find another to pop in to test?

(Sorry about the duplicate posting)
Right-clicking seems to work everywhere else. In my other (inadvertent)
duplicate posting, someone suggested a system restore. I'll have to see if
that's an option.
