Can't Restore the System

Hi
i have win Xp installed on my computer , oneday i need to
restore the system to a previous day after i do the
process and the computer restart it gives me a message
telling that the restore process have been faild and i
have to choose another chickpoint to restore to but even
it do the same , so how can i restore my system or at
least to activate my restore to be able to do the restore
process again in the future , i'll appriciate any help on
that case .

Restore is not reliable program. If you're using as a
back-up you should consider something else.


You can turn it off from Control Panel > System > and
then> re-boot and it will purge it's file. Then re-boot,
turn> it back on.

And try this if the above does not work.

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following then OK

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf


You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then
Install)
