Can't ren or del wmplayer.exe, why?

Hi to all,

An online scanner found the file wmplayer.exe to be infected but
could not disinfect it.

So I did try to first rename and delete the file wmplayer.exe.

It did rename and delete ok but withhin 8 sec. the file dit pop up
again.

System Information unter Software Enviroment / Startup Programs had
this entry:

Program Command
mswspl c:\program files\windows media player\wmplayer.exe

Location
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run

I'm tempted to just delete this key in the registery, but there mayby
more related keys there. Any Regedit experts out there? .

Any ideas how to fix this?

Why are you trying to Delete windows media player over a virus
get a decent virus scanner and rescan while in safe mode that way the virus will not be active and can be cleaned from your system

give this one a try its free for 30 days.Update it before you scan. Remember "SAFE MODE" no virus scanner will be able to remove a virus when its active
