Outlook 2003, Internet mail.

I tried to send an email with an attachment that is too large. The account I
was trying to send with is the Yahoo account I normally use to send emails
out. The email cannot be sent, the server times out.

However when I try to open the email or change options I am told "Outlook
has already begun transmitting this message". If I right click and select
Delete from the context menu nothing happens.

How can I get rid of this problem?

Thank you in advance

Olivier

A few ways to do it.

A) Put Outlook in offline mode (File -> Work Offline). Restart Outlook.
or
B) Tools -> Options -> Mail Setup tab. Clear the "Send immediately when
connected" check box, click OK and restart Outlook.
or
C) Close Outlook, disconnect your computer from the internet, open Outlook.
That's the dirty method. ;)

Thanks a lot, I hadn't though of going off-line.

The "send immediately" option doesn't control this. The send/receive
interval does. If one is set, then Outlook will perform a send/receive at
startup.
