Can't remove SP4

I can't find a way to uninstall SP4 from my desktop.
According to the instructions, it should appear under
Add/Remove program and under winnt (under hidden) folder,
I can't find it in either place. I'm removing it because
my tcpip address is not refreshing. I'm suspecting that it
is because of SP4 but I could be wrong.

Thanks
FA.

Probably you are wrong. Why your IP is not refreshing? (details please...)

According to Microsoft there is a problem with SP4, they
do have a hot fix but for that I need to call them to get
that fix. They have provided an alternate solution that
suggests disabling DHCPMediaSense. I tried that altering
in the registry but that didn't work. And hence I decided
to remove SP4.

Thanks.

If you selected the option to create an uninstall folder when you
installed SP4, it will be present in Add/Remove Programs. If you didn't
select that option, there's no way to uninstall. You'd have to reinstall
Windows and re-apply any updates prior to SP4.

If I were you, I'd call and get the fix. Even if it doesn't work you
haven't lost much, and if it does, you're saved a tedious reinstallation.
Microsoft doesn't charage for hotfixes if that's all you request when you
call.
