When using Add/Remove programs in Control Panel, there is no Change/
Remove button visible when I highlight any program in the list that I
want to remove. When I click on User Accounts in Control Panel, my
name shows up and under my name it says "Computer Administrator". I
am the only user listed other than Guest which it says is off. How do
I get the button to show up?

Hi Rey,

I have the same problem but when I tried to implement your solution, I founf
that the only the couple of newly installed programs were listed. What do I
do if the key to a program is not listed in the registry in Uninstall?

Thanks,

Ralph

Ralph, did u ever figure out or get a response about how to uninstall id
program is not listed in the Uninstall. Having that rpoblem right now.
Thanx.

mlopez,
I'm not Ralph but--
One of the "tools" provided by CCleaner is useful for such problems.

I recommend CCleaner 100%. I use the program frequently for cleaning my
computer of many things which DiskCleanup doesn't get and for cleaning up
the registry.

CCleaner is truly freeware and highly recommended by various computer
magazines. (5 stars out of 5)

CCleaner created by Piriform authors of the hugely popular freeware tools
CCleaner, Recuva and Defraggler.

Unless Ralph monitors this newsgroup 'round the clock, I doubt he will
see your post!

What program are you referring to? Sometimes, you need to reinstall
before you uninstall. Sometimes, there is an uninstaller executable in
the program folder, too.

I'm wanting to uninstall several programs and a lot are missing the
change/remove... I tried the suggestion and the program doesn't show in the
list... Is there any type of program that can correct all of these at once?

Or should I buy one of those registry cleaner things?

HELP!!!!!!

Exactly *which* programs?

Ugh! Registry cleaning programs are *all* snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.
