Can't remove a program

I have a program that has become corrupted and was asked to remove and
reinstall the program by the software company. When I pushed the
change/remove button nothing happens. I tried removing another program and
it worked fine. The program that I was trying to remove is a program I use
often, but that shouldn't have anything to do with this. I would be grateful
for any help.

Thanks

If u are an administrator try this
start run > regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
open up the uninstall key, u will find the prog under that, right click and
delete
Restart the computer.

Hi

I'm having the very same problem. But when I go to the registry as you
suggest, the programme isn't listed. And yet it is in Add Remove Programmes
and the software starts at system start-up. Do you know why this might be?

Firstly, it's not a good idea to post your new question as a response to
someone else's thread. Start a new thread with your issue and provide all
the relevant information. In this case it would be nice if you listed what
the program is.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried everything but reinstalling and
uninstalling worked.

Hi

Even the free utility didn't work. But reinstalling and uninstalling did.
If you don't mind, I've got a question about this utility. What does itmean
if a programme that I want to keep on my pc has a broken link in Add Remove
Programmes? Do I have to remove the link or remove and reinstall the
programme? I was surprised that three programmes had problems (and a red X
next to them) when I ran the utility. Not to sure how to proceed.
