Usually you get one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply

Yep, I have a harsh outlook on all deliberately obtuse users that choose
to provide absolutely no useful information to provide some context on
diagnosing their problem. If they don't want to provide details, they
don't want help. This is Usenet, not a chat room full of disconnected
posts. Discussions here are threaded. Those that are here to provide
help should not have to dig out one piece of information per post. Do
you think the car shop would really be able to fix your car if all you
told them was that "it's broke"?
