Can't read XP Upgrade CD

I had to rebuild my PC. I used the restore CDs to get it back to the
default system (Windows 98 SE).

I have the XP Pro Upgrade CD I bought a couple years ago that I
originally used to upgrade this PC. But the CD can no longer be read.
Note that other CDs do work in this PC. I tried to view the XP CD on
another PC as well that I know works and it cannot read the CD either.
Is there a way to get a new CD without having to buy another copy?

Never mind. I tried it on a 3rd PC and it can read the CD. My laptop
should have been able to read it though. Not sure why it couldn't.

Guess I'll have to buy a new drive for the old PC.
