can't read the file

When our students use powerpoint they are having trouble opening the files.
The error states powerpoint can't read file.

Has there been any other people having this problem.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See

I'd try a couple of things:

Double check the file extension

Try openning the file by double clicking it

Try openning the file from inside of Powerpoint FILE>OPEN...

I just loaded service packs 1&2 and my problem is gone, thanks to all...hope
