duh - I feel like an idiot - all these years and I never noticed or
needed that button -
suddenly I noticed the fonts getting smaller - could hardly read Windows

I must have done it myself somehow but don't ever remember resizing them
smaller -

You may have done it accidentally if you have a scroll mouse as
Ctrl+Scroll will do it.
Some web sites may also change the text size as do some email
programs.

Who would think to look at you that you would be so damned clever.
I remember it now. I was trying to hi lite different passages of something
using the
control key and also scrolling the document. It kept magnifying. Was
strange. Must have effected my IE settings.
