I have a Dell with Roxio CD software. I formatted a CD-RW and then copied
files to the CD but when I put the CD into anothe PC, that CD player doesn't
even know there is a CD in the drive. Why?

Thanks

Are you using the Drag to Disc feature? If so, you must always use the
"eject" button when ejecting the disc. A dialogue box will open suggesting
a couple of eject options like 1) make this disc only readable on a pc with
Roxio or UDF installed, 2) make the disc readable on all computers. If the
disc is not ejected or "closed" properly it will not be recognized when it
is inserted back into a CD drive. Not sure if that will help, but just a
thought.

Hi,

Is there any UDF reading software installed on the PC in question?
It needs that to read packing writing CDs.
You can download it from nero.com or from roxio (symantec.com)
