I'm having trouble networking my laptop and desktop computers. They are both
running XP SP2 and I've uninstalled my Firewall and Anti-Virus software and
I've disabled the XP firewall.

I can ping 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.0.1 and my desktop(192.168.0.102) from my
laptop, but I can't ping my laptop (192.168.0.110) from my desktop or my
laptop.

I've tried many of the fixes on this site, but nothing seems to work. What
am I missing? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Is 192.168.0.1 your router?
what is you subnet mask?
What is you default Gateway address?

Yes, 192.168.0.1 is my router, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and the
default gateway is 192.168.0.1

Most non-Microsoft firewalls don't disable correctly. Uninstall any
non-Microsoft firewalls for network testing and configuration purposes, then
reinstall them when done.

I've done that using the software's uninstall program instead of the Windows
"Add or Remove Programs". Didn't work.

I noticed the node types on both machines were different. I changed them
both to "Broadcast", but that didn't work either.
