Cant ping a Vista machine

I have a few Vista machines setup on a home network. Each machine can get to
the Internat via the wired or wireless router, but one machine I am finding I
cannot ping at all from the others. I dont know how to solve this, as it is
the machine that has some peripherals like printers I want to share.

If turn off the firewall, can you ping each other by IP? if yes, can you ping by name? Or this link may help,

Vista TCP/IP IssuesSolved: Vista computers can't ping each other ... Solved: Vista needs to renew IP whenever starting ... Info: Step by step troubleshooting VISTA sharing . ...
