Can't paste from clipboard into an application

I want to copy a phrase from one application into the clipboard and then
paste the phrase into another application, but when I right-click on the
dialog box on the second application, no menu containing the "paste" command
pops up. The second application wants me to actually type-in the phrase
instead of pasting it in.
Any suggestions on how I could go about doing this, either within Windows or
with the aid of some freeware program?
 
Hi Sunny,

Without knowing which applications are involved, it would be difficult for
anyone to give you any meaningful advice. Please post back to this thread
with that information.
