Can't overwrite website

My problem is this:

I was building someone a website and allowing them to view their website on
my domain name as a favor while theirs was getting setup. Now, I am trying
to overwrite the site with my actual website again but I keep publishing (and
choosing to overwrite the existing site) but I keep seeing the old site when
I go to the website. Do I need to "unpublish" the other site? If so, how?
Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks!

Open the live/remote site directly in FP, if it has the FP extensions, then delete all content, with
the exception of the _private and images folders, for then delete any content that is within them,
but not the folders.

In the future, create a subweb/subsite for these types of projects.

If the remote/live site doesn't have the extensions, then open with a FTP application and delete all
content.

Thanks Thomas - I got my page back but am still having troubles with that
darn index file and my links not going back to the homepage. Do you have a
phone # I can call you at? You seem very knowledgeable about this and I
REAllY need to get my site running. Thanks a lot!

Drop me an email.

I have so many questions - I don't know where to start....

I'm making changes to my website and when I publish, I see something
different than other people (outside of my network) that I ask to check the
site and reply back to me with what they see. How can I get a "live" website
that will refresh everytime I make a change?

When I'm in Frontpage and I hit preview to see exactly what the site will
look like, it looks great. However, when I publish to the web, I then see
that certain links don't work (that worked in Preview). Why is this and how
do I fix?

Does the homepage have to be index.htm? When I try to rename it to
something else, I get a list of folders when I try to go to my domain name on
the web.

Is MS Frontpage 2003 easier (with regard to publishing) than 2000?

THANK YOU!

You posted back to the newsgroup.

Personal I like and continue to use FP2000.

You can only name your home page with the name that is required by your web host. It sound like your
web host or ISP is caching your web pages, so you are not seeing the changes in your browser or in
IE under Tools | Internet Options | General tab | Temporary Internet Files | Settings, set check for
newer versions of stored pages, every visit to the page.
