I am testing the new Office 2007. Some of the emails with attachments do not
open. Case in point, my brother (who uses AOL) got a joke and forwarded it
to me. What I get is an envelope that says message and the name of the
message... but no message. I can't open it, I can't view it, etc.

I called him and he cut-n-pasted the message and sent it to me. The message
has some small graphics embedded in the message, which I can see when he did
the cut n paste.

Any idea why these get lost / corrupted?

Hi Brian,

Search for 'attachments' in microsoft outlook help from inside outlook
(help>microsoft office outlook help). You will find that outlook
automatically blocks some file types for 'security' reasons. If you read the
section, you will also find some advice about how to get around this issue.

Could this be the issue?

Hope that helps,
CW

Disable the Google Desktop Search add-in, if you have it installed.
