Can't Open Safe Mode XP Home

Currently I don't need to enter Safe Mode but I might sometime.
When I go through the normal F8 procedure and select Safe Mode
it appears to go through the proper steps and reaches the Screen
displaying Safe Mode in color at the bottom and the single choice
of selecting XP Home. When I hit enter I'm taken back to the F8
screen with all the choices. If I try to repeat the Safe Mode choice I
get a BSOD.
This has been around for a few months. I have SP2 installed and all
other functions are fine.

Some people have reported this problem ater SP2 with the latest version
of Nero. Going back to a previous version 4.29.xx helped. I don't know
if this could be your situation you said this has been a problem before SP2.

I finally resolved this by doing a Repair Install.
