I have installed Power Point Viewer on my Vista operating system. It works
fine on my desktop, but the laptop doesn't show PPV as an available program
to open a pps document that I have downloaded from an email attachment.

Power Point Viewer 2007 does show up as an installed program. Does anyone
know how I can get PPV to be recognized when I right click and click "open
with"?

Thanks for any help, Tom

Does your laptop alread have PowerPoint installed. The download page states:
PowerPoint Viewer 2007 registers with the .ppt, .pptx, .pptm, .pot, .potx,
..potm, .pps, .ppsx and .ppsm file extensions only if a version of PowerPoint
is not installed on your computer. If registered, double-clicking on these
file types will launch PowerPoint Viewer 2007.

Yes, PPV 2007 has been installed on my computer

It works. You have to open the Power Point Viewer before it will open a
downloaded pps attachment. Thanks for your suggestion. Tom

You should be able to permanently associate them. Using you open with,
browse to the PowerPoint viewer and select it. Then make sure the always
open this type of file with this program is selected.
