Can't Open PDF Files

When I attempt to click on a link to a PDF file using
Internet Explorer, 6.0 SP1 the PDF file will not display.
The url posts in address field, no error message displays,
and a small red box appears in the window. Most of the
time, I can right click on the link and save the file to
drive then oipen that way. Any ideas?
 
Have you downloaded and installed the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader? It's
version 6.01.
