When I try to open Outlook it just hangs and does not open. When I close the
window it gives me the message "not responding". I have run several spyware
and virus scan checks including trendmicro, symantec, adware, spybot, and
privacyguardian. I have a lot of emails and I would like to avoid removing
Outlook and reinstalling since the pst backup is two weeks old and I will
lose all my recent emails. I have also downloaded the office updates in the
Microsoft website. I have also tried to rename and delete the OUTCMD.DAT,
but was unsuccessful. Does someone have an idea what might be causing this
and how I can fix it? I'm currently on Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No need to post more than once. See if something here helps:
