I cant open Outlook email saved to my desktop or in folders in My Documents.
I have run Fix and Repair twice with no success and uninstalled virus
protection. This applies ato all saved email no matter how new or old. Thanks

You cannot open Outlook files in the documents folder or any other folder.
You must open the files in Outlook. Save all your messages in Outlook
folders.

You certainly CAN save Outlook messages to the file system and double click on them to read them. They are saved as .msg files. There is no need to save all messages in Outlook folders - the file system works just fine and saves space in Outlook if one has a store limitation imposed by the mail admin.

To the OP, uninstall Google Desktop Search or disable its indexing of Outlook.
