can't open my windows task manager

please help!!!!! i can't seem to get my task windows manager to open. when i try it opens for like a half of a second and then closes. i can't open my registry edit either. it does the same thing. both will open for just a half of a second and then close immediately. please email me with any advice!!!!!!! Do a virus scan, might be the 32Klez worm or another
variant or virus at work on your system.

i've already done a virus scan, it found that trojan had infected 5 files. so i was following the directions to fix the problem which involved opening the windows task manger>processes>then locating the infected files and ending that task.

also, it indicated that i needed to run regedit and delete something.

so how can i get them open to fix the problem?

Ok, what was the name of the virus?

If it was the 32Klez or what ever check out the
www.Symantec.com site for a tool to clean the virus and
follow the instructions for the proper cleaning
procedure. Some require cleaning from safe mode and
disabling system restore etc..
