Can't open IE6

Whenever I try to open IE6 on one of my computers a fault
message comes upas follows:

Iexplore has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL
Iexplore will now close

Occasionally another error message is shown of which I do
not have a record.

I have tried restarting my computer to no avail.

The OS is Windows ME

This may also be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
