I have a user in my office who cannot open one specific PowerPoint
presentation. He is using Office 2003. He gets a message that PowerPoint
cannot locate file.

I have successfully opened it in both 2003 and 2000 on my computers. I have
done a "save as" to a networked location and the other user still cannot open
it. There are only text boxes and jpgs in the presentation (no .wav or mp3
or anything else goofy). What else can I try?

Thank you,

Erin

Try opening powerpoint first and then click File > Open, select your file
from there and see if it works.

If he's doubleclicking the file's icon to open it, have him either:

Start PowerPoint, choose File, Open and browse to the file; will it now open?

or

Rename the file to TEST.PPT (short name, no spaces, PPT extension) and
doubleclick it.
