Hi,

Until today, I was able to click on embedded links, and they would
open with IE, Suddenly, nothing happens. I need to cut and past. I
am guessing that this has something to do with my trying Firefox, but
can't find a place in Outlook 2000 which seems relevant. I got rid of
Firefox, and IE otherwise seems to work ok.

I suspect it _does_ have something to do with Firefox. When you installed
Firefox, it may have associated links with opening Firefox and when you got
rid of it, it did not restore IE as the associated program. Check your
registry for the command that opens links and, if it doesn't indicate IE,
correct it.

Brian,

Sure enough, the required link to IE was not restored. Fixed it in
the registry, and all back to normal. TNX

Where is the registry entry located? I'm having the same
problem but I haven't been able to locate the registry
item.

I suspect it's HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command
