cant open any windows program

My nortons antivirus detected a worm and gave steps to removing it. After
restarting my PC, I cant open any windows program anymore. If I try any
program I receive this error "windows can't find rundll32.exe" can not be
found
 
Hello Fensi,

It sounds as if in the process of removing your worm you deleted and/or
changed one of the wrong things.. Try a system restore to get windows to
work again (don't forget you will have to remove the worm again)
 
If you can open a dos window (Start/Run/cmd) try running sfc /scannow
and have the XP CD ready.
