Cant' open any folders fater sp4 updates for win2000 pro

After updating my win2000 with sp4... i cant open any folders or programs... I have to restart the comp a few times and then wait like 20 mins before opening programs (if im lucky).. I can click on the icons/folders to try and open them but nothing happens.. any suggestions?
 
there are many with the same prob,do a search on the
internet for your problem and run a virus scan for the
W32.Blaster.Worm.
www.antivirus.com will remove it IF you have it.Look for
the FREE SCAN and follow the links.
