Can't open a Note

Hello, forgive me if this has been covered before, but I did search and did
not find answer to my problem.

I have one Note in Outlook 2003 that will not open. I get the popup message
thats says something like
Can't open this item. Out of memory or system resources.....

The Knowledge Base article #281042 says that this problem occurs when a note
exceeds a certain number of characters. It says the remedy for the problem
is to create a smaller note.

Yes, my note was a very long. I did not get any warning message that I was
getting close to exceeding the maximum. That would have been extremely
helpful.

I need to get to the info in this note. It has very important info for each
of my customers and websites that I manage.

Surely there is a way for me to get to this info so that I can move it to
another place to keep that info or at least to divide up the info into
smaller notes.

Any ideas? Thank you.

When you enable the Reading Pane in that folder does the content show then?

I just turned on reading panes in Notes (didn't know I could do that -
thanks!) and unfortunately no I can't read it. The reading pane says: This
items can not be displayed in the reading pane. Please open the item to read
its content.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Another thing to try would be to switch to the Notes List view and add the
content column or see if you can export to Excel or a csv.

Thank you so much. I was able to export it. I did it both ways - to Excel
and to .csv. The .csv route worked better. I will have to do a little
reformatting, but won't take long.

I appreciate your help - you saved me!
